Forward Housing is led by Alex Magliozzi, who joined R4 Capital in 2011 and spent nine years on R4’s Acquisitions team, closing more than 100 transactions, representing over 15,000 total units and nearly $1 billion of investor equity.

Previously, he worked as a tax credit and development advisor at Affirmative Investments in Boston, and on the development and marketing teams at Beacon Communities in Boston and Sloss Real Estate in Birmingham, Alabama.

He holds a BA degree from Wesleyan University and master’s degrees in both Real Estate Development and Urban Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At MIT, he focused on affordable housing development and finance, and was a member of the winning team in the 2011 Greater Boston Affordable Housing Development Competition.Alex is a frequent guest lecturer at MIT on matters of affordable housing finance.
