John Parreco is an Executive Vice President and Director of Acquisitions at Forward Housing, managing the acquisition and financing of affordable housing properties nationwide. John brings over 20 years of experience serving in the affordable housing industry.
Prior to joining Forward Housing, John spent nearly a decade as the head of acquisitions and oversaw more than 75 acquisitions in 21 states and Washington DC, totaling over 6,500 units with a combined acquisition price in excess of $500 million during his tenure at Foundation Housing, a large Maryland-based non-profit developer. He was tasked with the supervision of underwriting, contract negotiation, due diligence review, securing equity and debt financing, and navigating any necessary HUD and/or regulatory approvals from federal, state and local jurisdictions.
John also sits on the Board of Directors for the Institute of Responsible Housing Preservation, which is a DC based 501(c)6 non-profit organization that focuses on affordable housing issues for developers with a attention to the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
